Rice Street and ramps at Hwy 36 in Roseville closing next week
Motorists may encounter delays next week when the ramps between Rice Street and Highway 36 in Roseville close at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28. The ramps will reopen at 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 1.
Rice Street also will close between Ramsey County Road B and Minnesota Avenue, although Highway 36 traffic will not be affected.
The closure is needed as crews remove existing pavement, install storm sewer pipe and perform grading and paving operations.
During the closure, traffic should use the following detours:
- Eastbound and westbound Highway 36 to northbound or southbound Rice Street should exit at Dale Street and follow the posted detour signs.
- Southbound Rice Street to Highway 36 should travel west on Ramsey County Road B2 to Dale Street and go south to reach Highway 36.
- Northbound Rice Street to Highway 36 should travel west on Ramsey County Road B to Dale Street and go north to reach Highway 36.
The project, which began in early July, includes replacement of the Rice Street bridge and reconstruction of Rice Street and side streets between County Road B-2 and County Road B.
The entire project is expected to be complete in November 2011.
