Mid-week closures planned for restriping of Interstate 94 in St. Paul
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists will encounter overnight lane closures and possible congestion Wednesday, Oct. 20 and Thursday, Oct. 21 for minor restriping of Interstate 94 between Western Avenue and Highway 280 in St. Paul.
Work begins at 8 p.m. Wednesday on the eastbound lanes with a single lane closure. Traffic will be restricted to a single lane beginning at 11 p.m. Restriping will be completed by 5 a.m. Thursday. Restriping of the westbound lanes begins at 7 p.m. Thursday and will be completed by 5 a.m. Friday.
The work is part of this summer’s resurfacing project to extend the life of the existing I-94 pavement and create a smoother ride for motorists. Additional drainage work will protect the pavement life and new lighting and bridge pier struts along the roadway will improve visibility and safety.
