FLOODING UPDATE
Hwy 41 river crossing in Chaska reduced to single lane

ROSEVILLE, Minn. —Motorists will encounter delays on Hwy 41 between Demcom Drive and First Street in Chaska when the roadway is reduced to a single lane between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. beginning Monday, Oct. 11. Crews will be completed with their work by Friday, Oct. 22.

The lane closure is necessary as crews complete off-roadway repairs following this fall’s flooding of the Minnesota River.

Hwy 41 was closed at 2 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 27 due to high and rising water from the Minnesota River. To expedite opening the roadway, crews were able to patch the pavement and make initial road repairs last week. Now that backwater from the Minnesota River has receded fully from the work area, crews can complete the work necessary to restore the road’s slope and drainage system.

Mn/DOT reminds motorists to slow down in work zones, proceed with caution and never enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones.

Hwy 101 update
Water has receded from the road surface of the Hwy 101 Minnesota River crossing between Scott County Road 69 in Shakopee and Carver County Road 61 in Chanhassen. Initial cleanup and repairs have begun, and the road is expected to re-open this week.
