UPDATE – PROJECT DELAYED DUE TO RECENT WEATHER
Carver County Road 51 closing at Hwy 212 in Bongards on Oct. 7
Project originally scheduled to start Oct. 4
ROSEVILLE, Minn. — Motorists can expect delays and detours when Carver County Road 51 closes at Hwy 212 in Bongards at 7 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 7.
Carver Co. 51 will reopen by 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15.
The closures are necessary as crews construct new center turn lanes from Hwy 212 to Carver Co. 51.
While Hwy 212 traffic will be shifted to the westbound shoulder, the work is expected to have minimal effects on traffic.
Motorists are advised to find alternate routes, or follow the posted detours.
Detour routes
Traffic on County Road 51 south of Hwy 212 will be detoured to the County Road 153 and Hwy 212 intersection by way of County Road 152. Traffic on Hwy 51 north of Hwy 212 will be detoured to Hw 5, then back to Hwy 212.
