Hwy 55 maintenance work begins Sept. 29
Lane closures and detours will occur in Golden Valley
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists will experience delays in both directions of Hwy 55/Olson Memorial Highway in Golden Valley as CenterPoint Energy crews begin maintenance work at the Winnetka Avenue intersection at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29.
The project will take place in three stages. During the first stage, eastbound Hwy 55/Olson Memorial Highway will be reduced to a single lane at the intersection. Northbound Winnetka Avenue will also be reduced to a single lane at the intersection, and the left turn lanes to westbound Hwy 55/Olson Memorial Highway will be closed. Motorists will be directed to continue northbound on Winnetka Avenue to westbound Golden Valley Road, and then to southbound Wisconsin Avenue N. in order to access westbound Hwy 55/Olson Memorial Highway.
The first stage is expected to last until mid-October. Further updates will be made prior to mid-October for the next stage and lane closure information.
The work is part of a maintenance project to replace underground piping in the area.
