Hwy 5/Hwy 55 roadway and ramp closures occur overnight Sept. 27
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists will experience delays as westbound Hwy 5 and eastbound Hwy 55 close at the Highway 5/Hwy 55 interchange overnight Monday, Sept. 27.
The ramp from Glumack Drive to eastbound Hwy 5 will close beginning at 10 p.m. Motorists will be detoured to Post Road via westbound Hwy 5 in order to access eastbound Hwy 5. After crews complete work at the ramp, they will work on paving eastbound Hwy 5 from Glumack Drive to Hwy 55. Roadway closures will be in place and motorists are advised to follow posted detours.
Eastbound Hwy 55 will close at the Hwy 5/Hwy 55 interchange at 8 p.m. Motorists will be detoured to westbound Hwy 5 and then exit at Post Road in order to access eastbound Hwy 5 and then eastbound Hwy 55. One lane of traffic on eastbound Hwy 55 is expected to reopen by midnight.
The ramp from westbound Hwy 5 to Tower Road will be closed beginning at 7 p.m. Motorists will be detoured to westbound Hwy 55, Minnehaha Avenue and eastbound Hwy 55 in order to access Tower Road.
All ramps and lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28.
The closures are part of the Hwy 5 resurfacing project between the Mississippi River and Post Road.
