Highway 13 and Mississippi Trail in Lilydale to close April 23
Roseville, Minn. — The Minnesota Department of Transportation will close Highway 13 between Second Avenue and Lexington Avenue in Lilydale, approximately one half mile west of I-35E, as crews make repairs to the shoulder and slope beginning at 6 p.m. Friday, April 23. The closure is expected to last until late May.
The closure is necessary in order to rebuild a nearly 300-foot portion of failed roadway and stabilize the roadbed along a bluff that has the potential of washing out. Crews will install a new drainage system, stabilize the steep bluff beneath the roadway and rebuild the road and guardrail.
The Mississippi River Trail, which runs below and adjacent to Highway 13, will also be closed until the work is completed.
