Southbound I-35W to close March 24 and 25
ROSEVILLE, Minn. — Motorists will encounter detours and increased congestion on metro area roadways when southbound Interstate 35W closes at the western junction of Highway 62 at 10 p.m. Wednesday, March 24 and Thursday, March 25.
Southbound I-35W will re-open by 5 a.m. each morning following the closures.
Northbound will remain open as will eastbound and westbound Highway 62.
Motorists should follow the posted detours during the closures:
Highway 62 West to Highway 100 South to I-494 East to I-35W South
Part of the I-35W/Highway 62 Crosstown reconstruction project, the nighttime closures are needed as crews continue bridge decking work on the eastbound Highway 62 bridge spanning southbound I-35W.
