New bridges open at 121st Avenue/Paul Parkway, 129th Avenue in Blaine
ROSEVILLE, Minn. –The reconstruction project on Highway 65 in Blaine will reach another milestone after rush hour tonight with the opening of new bridges at 121st Avenue/Paul Parkway and 129th Avenue. The two interchanges closed permanently last September for construction of new bridges to carry traffic and bicycle/pedestrian traffic across the highway. The bridges replace at-grade, signalized intersections.
The new interchange at Highway 65 and Anoka County Road 14 opened late last August.
The entire project to rebuild the interchange of Highway 65 and Anoka County Road 14, along with new overpasses at 121st Avenue/Paul Parkway and 129th Avenue began in spring 2007 and will be completed this fall.
A grand opening celebration is being planned for the end of September. More details will follow.
