Hwy 7 interchange construction begins Oct. 1: Wooddale Avenue bridge to be constructed over Hwy 7 in St. Louis Park
Motorists will encounter delays on Highway 7 in St. Louis Park beginning October 1 as crews begin building retaining walls, grading and paving for a project to construct a bridge across Wooddale Avenue over Highway 7.
Wooddale Avenue at the intersection of Highway 7 will be closed throughout the duration of this project. A posted detour will be provided. There will also be various lane closures on Highway 7 during the project. These closures will be during non-rush hours and signs will give motorists advanced warning of any closures. No full closures of Highway 7 will take place.
Access to local businesses and residences in the area will be maintained throughout the duration of the project. Crews will work Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. through the fall, and into winter when weather allows. Construction will continue through all of next year.
The project is funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
