Northbound I-35W ramp to Diamond Lake Road to close September 10
ROSEVILLE, Minn. — Motorists will encounter detours and increased congestion on metro area roadways beginning at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 10 when the ramp from northbound
I-35W to Diamond Lake Road closes for three weeks.
Part of the I-35W/Highway 62 Crosstown reconstruction project, the ramp closure is needed as crews construct noise walls along northbound I-35W. The Diamond Lake Road bridge and all other freeway ramps at Diamond Lake Road will remain open during the closure.
Motorists should follow the posted detour routes:
Exit at 46th Street; east on 46th Street to Portland Avenue; south on Portland Avenue to Diamond Lake Road
Noise walls help minimize the sound of traffic adjacent to freeways and highways by interrupting the source of the sound.
For more information on the I-35W/Highway 62 Crosstown reconstruction project, visit www.mndot.gov or call the Crosstown Project hotline at 1-866-743-6590 or send an e-mail to crosstown@rranow.com.
Mn/DOT reminds motorists to slow down in work zones and never enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones. For statewide traffic, construction and travel information visit www.511mn.org or call 511 or log onto www.mndot.gov.
