Nighttime lane and ramp closures scheduled on I-35W for Aug. 12-16

 

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Motorists will encounter intermittent nighttime lane closures on northbound and southbound Interstate 35W between Burnsville Parkway and I-494 between Wednesday, Aug. 12 and Sunday, Aug. 16. These intermittent closures will be in place nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

In addition, motorists will encounter intermittent nighttime ramp closures on the following portions of I-35W between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. for the remainder if this week:

 

Northbound I-35W between Burnsville Parkway and I-494
Date: Wednesday, Aug. 12


Includes the following ramps at I-35W and I-494:

 

Southbound I-35W from I-494 to Burnsville Parkway
Dates: Thursday, Aug. 13; Friday, Aug. 14; Saturday, Aug. 5

 

Includes the following ramps at I-35W and I-494:

 

Detour routes will be posted for motorists while ramp closures are in place.

 

The work is part of the ongoing reconstruction of I-35W from Burnsville to downtown Minneapolis that is funded by the Urban Partnership Agreement. The UPA projects will improve traffic flow by reducing congestion on I-35W, Highway 77/Cedar Avenue and in downtown Minneapolis using transit, road pricing, technology and telecommuting.
