50th Street Bridge to close on Aug. 13 and 14
ROSEVILLE, Minn. — Motorists will encounter detours and increased congestion on Thursday, Aug.13 and Friday, Aug.14 as the 50th Street bridge spanning Interstate 35W closes daily between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. Part of the Crosstown reconstruction project, the closures are needed for work on the bridge deck.
Motorists should follow the posted detour route:
- Motorists traveling east on 50th Street – 50th Street to Nicollett Avenue South; south on Nicollet Avenue South to Diamond Lake Road
- Motorists traveling west on 50th Street – 50th Street to Portland Avenue South; south on Portland Avenue South to Diamond Lake Road
During the closures, access across I-35W will be available at the 42nd Street bridge, 46th Street bridge, Diamond Lake Road bridge, and the 60th Street underpass.
