Nightly Closures at Eastern Junction of I-35W/ Hwy 62 begin July 6
ROSEVILLE, Minn. — Motorists will encounter detours and possible increased congestion on metro area roadways at 10 p.m. on Monday, July 6, when the eastbound lanes of Hwy 62 and the northbound and southbound lanes of I-35W, close intermittently at the eastern junction of I-35W and Hwy 62. The intermittent closures will in effect from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Friday, July 17.
Part of the I-35W/Hwy 62 Crosstown reconstruction project, the nighttime closures are needed to place bridge segments at the eastern junction of I-35W and Hwy 62.
Access to local streets along I-35W, north and south of Hwy 62, will remain open. Westbound Hwy 62 will remain open during the closures.
Motorists should follow the posted detours during the intermittent closures:
- For northbound I-35W: Hwy 62 East to Hwy 77/Cedar Ave to Hwy 62 West / I-35W North
- For southbound I-35W: Hwy 62 East to Hwy 77/Cedar Ave to Hwy 62 West to I-35W South
- For eastbound Hwy 62: I-35W North to Diamond Lake Road to I-35W South to Eastbound Hwy 62
Closures will not occur concurrently where detours conflict.
