Minn. The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) will close the ramps from northbound and southbound Interstate 494 to eastbound I-394 and the ramp from eastbound I-394 to northbound I-494,
on Monday morning, September 19 at 12:01 a.m. The ramps will remain closed for approximately 40 days as construction crews reconstruct the eastbound I-394 collector-distributor road which is part of the I-494 Stage 2 reconstruction project.
Motorists heading northbound on I-494 who wish to go east on I-394 may exit at Highway 7; go east to Highway 169, then north to I-394. Southbound traffic should exit at Highway 55; go east to Highway 169 then south to I-394. Eastbound drivers who want to go to Ridgedale Center area businesses or Plymouth Road (County Road 61) should exit at Hopkins Crossroad and follow the detour signs west. Plymouth Road is also accessible from the north via Carlson Parkway and from the south via Minnetonka Boulevard.
Motorists should expect congestion in this area and are encouraged to take alternate routes.
