Minn. Repairs to Highway 47 in the cities of Anoka and St. Francis will begin August 1, 2005. The resurfacing project will be done in three stages beginning at Highway 10 and extending to County Rd. 116 (Bunker Lake Blvd). The second phase extends from Co Rd. 116 to Co. Rd 27 and the final phase continues from Co. Rd. 27 to Co. Rd 81. During the project, Hwy. 47 will remain open to local residents
The detour will be posted and directs motorists to use Co. Rd. 7 which is east of Hwy. 47. Hwy. 47 will reopen by Sept. 3, weather permitting. Signal installation and other minor construction will continue after Sept. 3 with minimal disruption to motorists.
