Roseville,
Minn. The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) will completely close Crosstown Highway 62 from Interstate 35-W to Highway 55 at 9:30 p.m. on July 8 and reopen by 5:30 a.m., July 11. The closure is necessary for resurfacing of the roadway. Signed detours will direct motorists to use the alternate route of I-35-W, I-494 and Hwy. 55 to avoid the area.
In addition, ramps eastbound and westbound Crosstown Highway 62 at 28th Ave. and at 34th Ave. will be closed beginning July 5. Motorists are advised to watch for detour signs. The two ramps will be worked on simultaneously with one of the two ramps remaining open at ALL times. The ramp work is scheduled to be completed by July 11th.
In addition, there will be intermittent nighttime single lane closures on both westbound and eastbound Crosstown Hwy. 62 from Portland Ave. to 43 rd Ave. until July 22.
The project includes bus shoulder construction, median replacement and concrete and asphalt roadway surface repair.
Mn/DOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN in the work zone and NEVER enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones. Please join us in a safety partnership. For statewide traffic, construction and travel information visit www.511mn.org or call 511.
