(Roseville, Minn.) — As reconstruction continues on Ramsey County Road C in Roseville , motorists will encounter additional lane closures this week. As of Monday, June 27, the intersections of County Road C at Cleveland Avenue and Fairview Avenue are restricted to a single lane of traffic in each direction. Beginning Tuesday morning, July 5, traffic will be further restricted to a single lane in each direction at the intersection of Long Lake Road and County Road C, just west of Interstate 35W. During removal and replacement of the signal system at the Long Lake Road intersection, stop signs will control traffic in all four directions.
Following the July 4 th holiday weekend, crews will begin paving the roadway. Paving on the westbound lanes of the road will begin on the west side of Snelling Ave. and move toward Long Lake Road . Mainline paving is expected to be completed by the middle of July. Concrete shoulders, curb and driveways will be built after mainline paving is completed.
Once the north side of County Road C is completed in late July, traffic will be switched to the new lanes and reconstruction will continue on the eastbound lanes in August.
The loop from County Road C to southbound I-35W, along with the loop from northbound I-35W to westbound County Road C remain closed and detoured until late-July.
Reconstruction of County Road C between I-35W and Snelling Avenue began last summer. Last year's work included replacement of railroad crossings and widening of north and southbound Snelling Ave. just south of County Road C.
Motorists should watch for additional lane shifts and temporary lane closures along County Rd. C until the project is completed this fall.
