(Roseville, Minn.) – Emergency repairs to the underside of the Smith Avenue High bridge deck will require closing Shepard Road from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday morning, April 22. Loose concrete from the bridge deck has been falling onto Shepard Road beneath the bridge.

Mn/DOT maintenance crews will work from under the bridge over Shepard Road. Work will require closing Shepard Road and the adjacent sidewalk and trail. Eastbound Shepard Road will be closed at Randolph Street and the westbound roadway will close at Eagle Parkway (Old Chestnut St .).

During the work, traffic will detour on Randolph Street, West 7th Street, Chestnut Street and Eagle Parkway.
