(Roseville, Minn.) – Emergency electrical utility work will require lane closures through Friday, April 15 on Snelling Avenue (Highway 51) and St. Anthony Avenue just north of Interstate 94 in St. Paul. Excel Energy will restrict traffic on northbound Snelling Ave. to a single lane beginning at 6 p.m. tonight. The right lane and turn lane from St. Anthony Ave. to northbound Snelling Ave. also will be closed at the same time. St. Anthony Ave. is the two-lane, one-way westbound frontage road just north of I-94.
Lane closures are needed to allow crews from Excel Energy to reach an underground electrical utility vault beneath the northbound lanes of Snelling Ave. near St. Anthony Ave.
Traffic restrictions will be lifted each day between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. and again from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. until the work is completed. Weather permitting, work will be finished Friday afternoon before rush hour.
