(Roseville, Minn.) – Motorists
should watch for lane closures between 9 a.m. and
2 p.m. next Monday and Tuesday, April 11 and 12, during repairs to the Hennepin
County Road 101 bridge spanning Highway 12 in Wayzata. Crews will close two
of the bridge’s four lanes next week to replace a rubber seal across
an expansion joint at the south end of the bridge. The seal covers the expansion
joint to prevent water from flowing through the bridge deck and causing erosion
to the embankment beneath the structure.
In case of inclement weather, the work will be delayed until
later in the week.
Drivers should use alternate routes to avoid congestion during
the project. Please watch for workers on the bridge and drive carefully
past the equipment and crews.
Mn/DOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN in the work zone and NEVER enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones. Please join us in a safety partnership. For statewide traffic, construction and travel information visit www.511mn.org or call 511.
