Roseville, Minn.— Motorists should watch for overnight lane closures from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. each night, Monday October 18 through Saturday, October 23 on eastbound Interstate 494 for bridge repairs at Xerxes Avenue. The Minnesota Department of Transportation will heat straighten girders on the eastbound end of the Xerxes Ave. bridge above the interstate on the border of Bloomington and Richfield . The bridge was struck earlier this month by an overheight load carried on a flatbed trailer.

When repairs are completed on the Xerxes Ave. bridge late next week, daytime repair work will begin on the Portland Ave. bridge crossing eastbound Interstate 94 in Minneapolis . During the work, the ramp from Franklin Ave. to eastbound I-94 will be closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily for approximately one week.
