(Roseville, Minn.) – Work is underway to construct crossover lanes in the median of Interstate 35W between 95 th Avenue and Lexington Avenue in Blaine. The crossover lanes will be used to carry traffic next spring during replacement of a box culvert beneath the interstate. The project will begin next spring when water levels recede in the area. During the culvert replacement, traffic will be restricted to a single lane in each direction on the side of the interstate not being worked on.
Next week, motorists will encounter daily single lane traffic on the southbound side of the interstate between 9 a.m. and dusk each day. Northbound traffic will be restricted to a single lane daily from 6 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Weather permitting, paving of the new crossover lanes will be completed by Saturday, October 16.
