(Roseville, Minn.) – Northbound Snelling Avenue (Highway 51) will reopen to traffic after morning rush hour Monday, September 26, as work is completed on the north side of the highway between Ramsey County Roads C and B-2 in Roseville. After the northbound lanes are opened, the southbound side of the highway will close as Ramsey County continues improvements at the intersection of Snelling Ave. and County Rd. C. The southbound roadway will be closed until mid-October as crews replace the railroad crossing and repair pavement just south of County Road C and install new railroad crossing signals.
During construction, motorists will follow a marked detour using
County Rd. C, Highway 36 and I-35W.
Motorists should watch for additional lane shifts and temporary lane closures along County Rd. C and near the Snelling/County Road C intersection through this construction season and next year during reconstruction of County Road C between Interstate 35W and Snelling Avenue.
