Minn. Stage 2 of the I-494 reconstruction project is underway in Minnetonka and Eden Prairie and citizens are invited to attend the first of several open houses designed to give people an opportunity to ask questions and obtain information about the project. The project area runs between Highway 5 and I-394 and is expected to be completed in late summer or fall of 2006.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) will host the open house on Wednesday, September 15 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Minnetonka City Hall Community Center, 14600 Minnetonka Blvd. in Minnetonka. Project engineers will be available to provide information on the scheduling, construction staging and maintenance of traffic. There will be no formal program, however layouts and visualizations will be displayed.
