Roseville, Minn.— The Interstate 94 Lowry Tunnel south of downtown Minneapolis will be closed overnight in both directions the next three nights for cleaning and maintenance. The eastbound tunnel will close each night between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. the following morning. The westbound tunnel will close from 12 midnight until 5 a.m. all three nights. The later closure of westbound I-94 will allow Minnesota Twins fans to exit downtown Minneapolis after the current three-game stand against the New York Yankees.

All traffic will use the prohibited vehicle route to detour around the closures.

During the tunnel washing, crews will also carry out additional maintenance including: replace lighting, inspect and replace ventilation system filters and repair damaged guardrail on the westbound interstate at the east end of the tunnel.
