Roseville, Minn.— Traffic will be reduced to single lanes for intermittent periods this weekend on Highway 62 and Highway 55 near the new interchange. The lane closures are necessary to shift traffic onto a portion of the new roadway and relocate the intersection. The new intersection is necessary to allow for completion of the interchange. The temporary intersection will be in place for approximately two months. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes to avoid congestion. Expect delays if you travel the Highway 55/62 intersection.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) has begun the final year of construction on the interchange at Highways 55 and 62 in Minneapolis. Construction will conclude in fall 2004 weather permitting.

Mn/DOT urges motorists to drive with caution, reminding them to SLOW DOWN in the work zone and NEVER enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones.
