Roseville, Minn. — The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) will be permanently closing the 12th Street intersection along Highway 61 in Newport on Wednesday, July 7, 2004. A temporary exit near 12th Street will be provided to access Hastings Avenue from northbound Highway 61 until the Glen Road Interchange opens.

All other traffic will need to use the intersection at 20th Street and Highway 61.

The closure is necessary for crews to complete the remaining work on the Interchange.
