Roseville, Minn. —The St. Croix River Crossing Project Stakeholder Group in, cooperation with Mn/DOT and WisDOT, will hold two public informational meetings in June to update the public on the project.

The first meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 15 at the Hudson Senior High School, 1501 Vine Street in Hudson.

The second meeting will be held on Monday, June 21 at the Stillwater Middle School, 523 W. Marsh Street in Stillwater.

Both meetings will follow the same format with the meeting beginning with an open house at 5 p.m. A short presentation on the project will take place at 6 p.m., with time for individual questions following the presentation.

Members of the stakeholder group will present the project alternatives being considered in the Supplemental Draft Environmental Impact Statement (SDEIS) (currently being prepared) and respond to questions received in response to a brochure (distributed through local papers in May) that solicited questions from the public.

The purpose of the meetings is not to solicit comments regarding the alternative to be chosen, but rather, to promote public understanding of all alternatives and to share the environmental impact studies completed to date.

The summer 2004 issue of the St. Croix River Crossing newsletter has been distributed to Minnesota and Wisconsin residents in the area. The newsletter notifies the public of the June meetings, the public hearing for the Environmental Impact Statement scheduled for fall 2004 and information regarding the Stillwater Bridge repair project beginning in summer 2005.
