Roseville,
Minn.The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT)
will close the northbound Highway 61 exit ramp to 70th St. County
Road 22 on Tuesday, June 8, as the first stage of the St. Paul
Park interchange begins.
The reconstruction
of the St. Paul Park interchange is part of the Wakota project
which began in 2002. There will also be alternating lane closures
on Highway 61 for the next four weeks while median work is completed
and a bypass is built. Lane closures near the interchange will
not occur on northbound Highway 61 between 6 to 9 a.m. and southbound
Highway 61 between 3 to 7 p.m., however, lane closures should
be expected at other times of the day.
The entrance ramp from St. Paul Park Rd. (CSAH 22) to southbound
Highway 61 will close mid to late June and the rest of the interchange
will close in early August when the Glen Rd. interchange opens.
The St. Paul Park interchange will reopen fall 2005.
