(Roseville, Minn.) – Interstate 94 beneath the Riverside Ave. bridge will be closed to all traffic in each direction from 10 p.m. on Friday, June 11 through 5:30 a.m. on Monday, June 14 for removal of the bridge deck. During the weekend closure, motorists will be detoured on I-35E, Highway 36 and I-35W.

Preliminary work for deck reconstruction on the Riverside Avenue bridge over Interstate 94 in eastern Minneapolis begins next Monday, June 7. Motorists should watch for temporary overnight lane closures from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the following morning, Monday through Friday.

While the bridge is closed and under construction, Riverside Ave. motorists will be detoured along Franklin Ave. and 25th Ave.

Weather permitting, the bridge will reopen to traffic in late August.
