Roseville,
Minn. Traffic will be restricted to a single lane until
mid-June on northbound Interstate 494 between Rockford Road (County
Road 9) and Bass Lake Road (County Road 10) beginning at 9 p.m.
on Tuesday, June 1, for repairs and redecking of five bridges
in Plymouth and Maple Grove. Four of the bridges carry north and
southbound I-494 traffic over 49th Ave. and the Northern Canadian
Pacific Railroad tracks.
The
fifth bridge carries northbound I-494 over I-94 in the junction
of I-494 and I-94/694 (Fish Lake Interchange).
In
mid-June, work will start on the southbound lanes and continue
through the end of June. For a two week period at the end of June,
motorists will encounter single lane traffic on both sides of
the interstate. Work on the northbound I-494 bridge in the Fish
Lake Interchange will overlap with the southbound stage of the
project.
Weather
permitting, work will be completed before the July 4 holiday weekend.
