Roseville,
Minn. The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT)
will move the lane closures that have been in place on eastbound
I-94 from the outside to the inside median lanes. Traffic will
continue to be maintained on two lanes. These lane closures will
continue for approximately three additional weeks.
The
lane closures on westbound I-94 from Wash. Co. Rd. 21 (Stagecoach
Trail) to the St. Croix Bridge will continue for approximately
six additional weeks. The lane closures are part of a larger construction
project on I-94 in the Twin Cities east metro that extends from
I-694 east to the St. Croix Bridge at Hudson.
Also,
road work will begin on I-94 between Mounds Blvd. and McKnight
Rd. starting the weekend of May 22 when traffic will be restricted
to one lane. Additional resurfacing on this stretch of I-94 will
occur on the weekends of June 4, June 11 and June 18 when traffic
will also be restricted to one lane. Traffic will be restricted
to a single lane on I-94 only during the weekends mentioned.
In
addition, motorists will see lane closures for concrete rehab
work and storm sewer work between Mounds Blvd. and McKnight Rd.
beginning May 23. However two lanes in each direction on I-94
will remain open at all times during the week. The lane closures
will continue in this section of I-94 until work is completed
July 1, weather permitting.
