(Roseville,
Minn.) – Repair and resurfacing of three bridges on northbound
Interstate 35E north of downtown St. Paul begins Monday morning,
May 3, following completion of work on the southbound side of
the interstate bridges tonight.
Beginning
early Monday, motorists will encounter lane closures on the northbound
interstate between Maryland Ave. and University Ave. as crews
work on the bridges at Pennsylvania Ave., the BNSF railroad tracks
(north of Pennsylvania Ave.) and Cayuga St. At the same time,
the ramp from Pennsylvania Ave. to northbound I-35E will close.
The interstate will be restricted to a single lane of traffic
nightly from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the next day.
Work
during the following two weekends will restrict the northbound
interstate to a single lane of traffic. Weather permitting, the
entire project will be completed by mid-May.
