(Roseville,
Minn.) – Repairs and resurfacing of three bridges on southbound
Interstate 35E this weekend will slow motorists north of downtown
St. Paul. Beginning at 5 p.m. Friday evening, motorists will encounter
a single lane of traffic on the southbound interstate between
Maryland Ave. and University Ave. as crews work on the bridges
at Pennsylvania Ave., the BNSF railroad tracks (north of Pennsylvania
Ave.) and Cayuga St.
Weather
permitting, the interstate will reopen by 5:30 a.m. Monday morning,
April 26 in time for morning rush hour traffic.
When
work on the southbound side of the interstate is completed in
early May, the project will switch to the northbound side of the
interstate, with traffic restrictions on the northbound lanes
of I-35E through the same area.
The entire
project is expected to be complete by mid-May.
