Roseville,
Minn. The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT)
will begin construction April 19 on I-94 from Interstate 694 to
the St. Croix River in Washington Co. when both eastbound and
westbound lanes will be resurfaced. Two lanes of traffic will
be maintained in each direction during construction, however,
motorists can expect delays. In addition to lane closures, temporary
ramp closures will also occur. Motorists will be directed to the
posted detours. The project is expected to be completed by August
30 weather permitting. Additional construction in this area due
to the redecking of the St. Croix River Bridge could cause traffic
congestion this summer as well.
Also
on April 19, construction will begin on I-94 in Ramsey Co, and
extend from Mounds Blvd. to Ruth St. The construction will include
pavement and sewer rehabilitation and is expected to cause lane
restrictions. On weekends lane closures may limit traffic to one
lane. The project is expected to be completed by July 4.
Mn/DOT
urges motorists always to drive alertly and with caution and reminds
them to SLOW DOWN in the work zone and NEVER enter a roadway that
has been blocked with barriers or cones. For updated statewide
traffic, construction and travel information visit www.511mn.org.
