Roseville, Minn.—The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) will begin inspecting the Highway 61 bridge spanning the Mississippi River in HASTINGS between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day, Monday, Oct. 27 through Friday, Oct. 31, 2003.

The inspection will begin on the northbound side of the bridge and will move to the southbound side.

One lane of traffic will be closed on the bridge during inspection hours. Flaggers will direct traffic across the bridge during the inspection. Motorists are advised to allow for extra time and may experience delays.

Mn/DOT urges motorists always to drive with caution and reminds them to SLOW DOWN in work zones and NEVER enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones. For updated statewide traffic, construction and travel information visit www.511mn.org.
