Roseville,
Minn.The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT)
will begin installing new traffic management cameras at four locations
on Monday, Oct. 6.
Motorists
are advised to watch for possible non-rush hour shoulder closures
near the following locations where the cameras will be installed:
A
total of approximately 260 cameras will be located throughout
the Twin Cities Metro Area's freeway system when the project is
completed. The cameras are operated using fiber optic cable, and
video from each is shared with the Minnesota State Patrol, Mn/DOT's
Metro District Maintenance Operations, Metro Transit, various
metro cities and counties and all local television stations.
Weather
permitting, the project will be completed by Oct. 24.
Mn/DOT
urges motorists always to drive with caution and reminds them
to SLOW DOWN in work zones and NEVER enter a roadway that has
