Roseville,
Minn.Reconstruction of the left turn lane from northbound
Highway 47 to westbound 85th Avenue and the acceleration lane
from eastbound 85th Avenue to southbound Highway 47 in Fridley
begins Thursday, August 28. The project will lengthen both traffic
lanes to increase safety for motorists turning on or off the highway.
Highway
47 traffic will be restricted to a single lane in each direction
within 1000 feet either side of the intersection all day Thursday
and Friday morning during non-peak periods for installation of
traffic control barriers.
During
the work, the acceleration lane from eastbound 85th Ave. to southbound
Hwy. 47 will be closed and motorists will have to turn at the
signal. Buses and trucks will not be allowed to turn onto the
southbound highway in the same location.
Weather
permitting, the entire project will be completed by mid-October.
Mn/DOT
