Roseville, Minn.— The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) will close eastbound and westbound Highway 55 from Fernbrook Lane. to Northwest Blvd. in PLYMOUTH at 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8.

The closure is necessary as crews continue to resurface Highway 55 between I-494 and Old Rockford Rd.

Weather permitting, the roadway will re-open to traffic by 1 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 10.

Both Highway 55 motorists and I-494 motorists are advised to follow the posted detour routes during the closure.

Mn/DOT urges motorists always to drive with caution and reminds them to SLOW DOWN in work zones and NEVER enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones. For updated statewide traffic, construction and travel information visit www.511mn.org.
