Roseville,
Minn. The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT)
will reduce southbound I-35W to a single lane from Highway 36
in ROSEVILLE to Stinson Blvd. in MINNEAPOLIS at 8 p.m. Tuesday,
Aug. 5 and at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6.
This
lane closure is necessary as crews plane the concrete theyve
repaired recently and is part of the larger I-35W barrier, guardrail
and road surface rehab project begun June 16 between the two points.
Equipment malfunctions caused crews to postpone Monday evenings
scheduled work.
Weather
permitting, the lane will re-open by 5 a.m. each day, Wednesday,
Aug. 6 and Thursday, Aug. 7.
The
entire I-35W concrete repair and center barrier project from Stinson
Blvd. to Highway 36 is scheduled for completion by Sept. 21, weather
permitting. As a reminder, crews will suspend work on this project
during the Minnesota State Fair, Aug. 21Sept. 1.
Mn/DOT
urges motorists always to drive with caution and reminds them
to SLOW DOWN in work zones and NEVER enter a roadway that has
been blocked with barriers or cones. For updated statewide traffic,
