Highway 21, Highway 19 Crack Sealing Begins August 5; Watch for Single Lane Traffic and “Rolling” Lane Closure

Roseville, Minn.— The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) will begin crack sealing operations on Highway 21 from County Road 37 in NEW PRAGUE to just south of JORDAN on Tuesday, Aug. 5. In addition, crews will seal cracks on Highway 19 from 4th Ave. S.W. in NEW PRAGUE to Highway 13 in WHEATLAND TOWNSHIP on the same date.

The roadway will be reduced to a single lane during much of the work hours, which will be from approximately 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Motorists will notice this operation as a moving, or “rolling” lane closure, and flaggers will direct traffic in front and behind the equipment as it completes its operation.

Weather permitting, these projects will be completed by Aug. 8.

Mn/DOT urges motorists always to drive with caution and reminds them to SLOW DOWN in work zones and NEVER enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones. For updated statewide traffic, construction and travel information visit www.511mn.org.
