Overnight Tunnel Cleaning Takes Place July 28 and 29

Roseville, Minn.—The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) will close the I-94 Lowry Hill tunnel for cleaning and maintenance on two consecutive nights next week.

Work will begin on both the eastbound and westbound lanes at 10 p.m. Monday, July 28 and again at 10 p.m. Tuesday, July 29.

Eastbound Motorists will be detoured to the Dunwoody Blvd. Hazardous Vehicle exit, and westbound motorists will be detoured to the Hennepin Ave. Hazardous Vehicle exit during the overnight hours.

Both directions will re-open to traffic by 5 a.m. Tuesday, July 29 and Wednesday, July 30.

Mn/DOT urges motorists always to drive with caution and reminds them to SLOW DOWN in work zones and NEVER enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones. For updated statewide traffic, construction and travel information visit www.511mn.org.
