Minn.The Minnesota Department
of Transportation (Mn/DOT) will close eastbound Highway
55 from Old Rockford Rd. in PLYMOUTH to I-494 in PLYMOUTH at 6
p.m. Friday, July 25.
This closure is necessary
as crews apply the final surface wear course and striping on the
entire stretch of roadway between these two points. Weather permitting,
the roadway will re-open by 5 a.m. Monday, July 28. Motorists
are advised to follow the posted detour: Old Rockford Rd. to Rockford
Rd. to I-494.
Mn/DOT closed Highway
55 for resurfacing between Old Rockford Rd. and Vicksburg Lane
Friday, July 18. The roadway re-opened by Sunday, July 20 at 2
a.m.
Crews began guardrail
repair and turn lane construction on July 14 at various points
along the roadway between I-494 and Old Rockford Rd. Motorists
may continue to expect daily eastbound and westbound non-rush
hour lane closures for the remainder of the project, scheduled
for completion by Aug. 25.
Mn/DOT
urges motorists always to drive with caution and reminds them
to SLOW DOWN in work zones and NEVER enter a roadway that has
