Week-long Highway 100 to Highway 62 (Crosstown) Loop Closure Starts July 28

Roseville, Minn.—The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) will close the loop from northbound Highway 100 to westbound Highway 62 (Crosstown) in EDINA at 6 a.m. Monday, July 28.

This loop closure is necessary as crews sandblast and paint the final portion of the Highway 100 Bridge spanning Highway 62. In addition, the right lane of westbound Highway 62 will be closed at Highway 100 but westbound Highway 62 motorists will be able to reach northbound and southbound Highway 100.

Motorists are advised to follow the posted detour route during the loop closure.

Weather permitting, this loop and lane will re-open by Monday, Aug. 4.

This is the final operation of the larger Highway 62 project, begun on May 27, which included barrier and guardrail rebuilding, resurfacing, bridge painting, fence repair and storm sewer repair.

Mn/DOT urges motorists always to drive with caution and reminds them to SLOW DOWN in work zones and NEVER enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones. For updated statewide traffic, construction and travel information visit www.511mn.org.
