Roseville,
Minn.The
Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) will close the
loop from northbound Highway 100 to westbound Highway 62 (Crosstown)
in EDINA at 6 a.m. Monday, July 28.
This
loop closure is necessary as crews sandblast and paint the final
portion of the Highway 100 Bridge spanning Highway 62. In addition,
the right lane of westbound Highway 62 will be closed at Highway
100 but westbound Highway 62 motorists will be able to reach northbound
and southbound Highway 100.
Motorists
are advised to follow the posted detour route during the loop
closure.
Weather
permitting, this loop and lane will re-open by Monday, Aug. 4.
This
is the final operation of the larger Highway 62 project, begun
on May 27, which included barrier and guardrail rebuilding, resurfacing,
bridge painting, fence repair and storm sewer repair.
Mn/DOT
urges motorists always to drive with caution and reminds them
to SLOW DOWN in work zones and NEVER enter a roadway that has
