Roseville,
Minn. Long-term lane closures will be in effect beginning
next week as the Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT)
continues the various repair projects to northbound and southbound
I-35W between Stinson Blvd. in MINNEAPOLIS and Highway 36 in ROSEVILLE.
Crews
have nearly completed replacing the overhead lights and poles
between the two points.
The
lane closures will take effect at 9 a.m. Monday, July 14 as crews
repair bridge barriers and make repairs to the concrete pavement.
Northbound
and southbound I-35W will be reduced to two lanes until Aug. 20.
Crews will halt work during the Minnesota State Fair, which runs
from Aug. 21 to Sept. 1, but will resume after the fair. Various
ramp closures will be in effect after Sept. 1, and a full ramp
closure and detour schedule will be issued one week prior to their
taking effect.
Weather
permitting, the entire project is scheduled to be completed by
Sept. 21.
Mn/DOT
urges motorists always to drive with caution and reminds them
to SLOW DOWN in work zones and NEVER enter a roadway that has
