Roseville,
Minn. Bridge painting begins July 14 on two sets of bridges
on Interstate 94 in Maple Grove. Crews will sand blast and repaint
the interstate bridges over the Rice Lake boat channel and the
Elm Creek boat channel between Weaver Lake Road and County Road
30. Work begins on the bridges at Elm Creek and when completed
workers will move to the Rice Lake bridges.
During
the duration of the project, motorists will encounter shoulder
closures on I-94. Boaters using the boat channels beneath the
bridges will be restricted from traveling underneath the freeway
when there is work overhead. Pedestrians also will be prohibited
from walking underneath the bridges during the work, but will
be able to cross beneath the road at the location not being painted.
Weather
permitting, work will be finished by mid to late August.
Mn/DOT
urges motorists always to drive with caution and reminds them
to SLOW DOWN in work zones and NEVER enter a roadway that has
been blocked with barriers or cones. For updated statewide traffic,
