(Roseville,
Minn.)The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) will
close various loops and ramps servicing I-494 and Highway 100
on July 7 as the I-494 reconstruction project continues through
BLOOMINGTON.
The
loops from westbound I-494 to southbound Highway 100 (Normandale
Blvd.) and from northbound Highway 100 (Normandale Blvd.) to westbound
I-494 will close. The ramps from southbound Highway 100 to westbound
I-494 and from westbound I-494 to northbound Highway 100 also
will close.
Weather
permitting, the loops and ramps will re-open by July 21. Motorists
are advised to follow the posted detour routes (Highway 169 and
Highway 62.)
These
loop and ramp closures are necessary as crews construct a temporary
bridge and widen the new roadway embankments on this segment of
the project.
Mn/DOT
urges motorists always to drive with caution and reminds them
to
SLOW DOWN in the work zone and NEVER enter a roadway that has
been blocked with barriers or cones. For updated statewide traffic,
