(Roseville,
Minn.) - The Minnesota Department of Transportation will reduce
eastbound and westbound I-494 to one lane, from Highway 61 to
Carver Ave., beginning at 7 p.m. Sunday, June 15 and re-opening
at 5 a.m. Monday, June 16. The night lane closures will continue
for four consecutive nights, ending at 5 a.m., Thursday, June
19. The lane closures are necessary as crews place bridge beams
for the Bailey Rd. Bridge over I-494.
As
part of this project, westbound I-494 will also be closed intermittently
for 30-minute time periods between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. Sunday and
Monday, June 15 and June 16. Eastbound I-494 will be closed intermittently
between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 17 and
June 18.
Motorists
are advised to seek an alternate route. The Bailey Road Bridge
will be opened to traffic in fall 2003.
