HIGHWAY 5 AT COUNTY ROAD 13 CLOSING FOR ONE WEEK

(Roseville, Minn.) - - The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) will close Highway 5 in CHANHASSEN from west of Arboretum Drive to east of Carver County Road 13 beginning Monday at 8 a.m. June 9, 2003.

The road is closing so crews can begin replacing a box culvert. Mn/DOT recommends motorists follow the posted detour for eastbound traffic: northbound Highway 41 to westbound Highway 7 to southbound Carver County Road 13 (Rolling Acres Road). Westbound motorists should follow northbound Carver County Road 13 (Rolling Acres Road) to eastbound Highway 7 to southbound Highway 41.

Weather permitting the project will be completed by June 16. Access to the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum will remain open from the east.

Mn/DOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN in the workzone and NEVER enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones. Please join us in a safety partnership. Visit 511mn.org for updated statewide traffic and travel information.
